Business Development Rep

SyncOnSet is a tech start-up that revolutionizes the management of TV and film production. Our product is an Emmy-winning software for creative professionals to manage script breakdowns, costumes, props, continuity photos, inventory, and much more.

The Business Development role is an entry level role with tremendous growth opportunity in our sales and business development organization. Working closely with the rest of the customer-facing team, this position leads the primary outreach to a specific segment of the film crew: Costume Department, Art Department (Props and Set Dec), Make up, Hair, and Locations.

In this role, you will speak with crew members every day: learning about their challenges and sharing your expertise to offer solutions. You’ll learn everything there is to know about the SyncOnSet platform and how it’s implemented across the biggest shows in the industry, including Game of Thrones, House of Cards, and Modern Family.

A successful candidate will be naturally outgoing, hungry to learn, and excited to teach others. You should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and excited about the conversations and new people you’ll get to meet!

Required Skills & Characteristics:

  • You get excited to talk with people who work in film production because you want to improve their work and their lives
  • You have a commanding desire to build meaningful relationships and a proven capacity for developing community and connections
  • You studied film production or have 2 or more years of experience working in film production
  • You have amazing communication skills that allow you to relate to anyone!
  • A strong ability to write crisp emails and speak comfortably on the phone
  • You’ve always thrived in a goal driven environment
  • You’re naturally outgoing and enthusiastic
  • You’re competitive with yourself while always prioritizing success of your team

  • Reach out to crews by phone and email to introduce them to our solution
  • Be an expert at the SyncOnSet software application
  • Lead users through a demo or tutorial of the features relevant to their needs
  • Have discussions with film crews around their production challenges
  • Collaborate with the rest of the sales team around new account opportunities
  • Gather client feedback on new software features and work with product team to identify potential improvement opportunities
